Coronavirus (COVID-19) Inf0rmation

Firstly we hope you are all well and our thoughts are with all of the people affected by this virus outbreak. We will be posting updates on this page to keep our clients informed about our procedures, opening hours and the activities which we will be running during this difficult time. February 23rd 2022 - Covid restrictions are being lifted in England tomorrow, however we are still asking visitors to Equine Learning not to come if they have symptoms of Covid. Please follow our usual infection control procedures, which include not attending or bringing children if you feel they have an illness they could pass on to others. We are very thankful for how careful and diligent our clients have been over the last two years helping us to keep the stables Covid free. 

April 19th 2021 - We are now open! We are running individual and group sessions, with Pony Club, Inspiring Riders and Horse Boy all staring again this week. Bookings can be made through our website. We are still following social distancing guidelines and there is no admission to the barn for participants. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back. 

March 13th 2021 - Following the news of lockdown restrictions easing at the end of this month, we are planning on re-opening during the Easter holidays. This is subject to restrictions being lifted. More details will be posted closer to the time. We have not re-opened the booking system yet. Updates are also being posted on our social media pages. 

January 6th 2021 - We have closed the stables for riding lessons and therapeutic horsemanship sessions in line with government guidance. However, will be continuing with our free, online Pony Club. There will be a live Pony Club session at 11am on Sundays from the stables through our Friends of Equine Learning Facebook group, which is open to current clients. Please request to join the group for more details. All learning resources and videos will be posted on our free to access online learning platform - please see our Pony Club page for details of how to join. 

December 30th - We are now in tier 4 which means that we can stay open with restrictions in place. We will be offering some limited number outdoor group activities for children with social distancing measures in place. We can continue to provide private and semi-private sessions to adults within a household, support bubble, or with one person from another household with social distancing and infection control procedures in place. 

5th December - We are now open for bookings. We are operating group, semi-private and private lessons and sessions with covid procedures in place. Please book online using the book now tab on the right hand side of the page or contact us for details of how to book. Please note: we have changed our online booking system so you may need to register your details to use the new system. 

November 27th - We are planning on re-opening next week once the national lockdown restrications have changed to localasied tiers. We are still awaiting guidance from our industry governing bodies before we confirm how this will look. many thanks for your patience, as soon as we have more guidance we will update this page. 

November 3rd - We will be closing riding lessons and therapeutic sessions on 5th November until the 2nd December in line with government guidance, unless we have any more details from British Equestrian which suggests that we can continue in some capacity. Please watch this space for more details. 

August 13th - We are now looking at resuming Inspiring Riders sessions and after school group activities from September in line with our infection control procedures and government guidelines. We have updated the infection control procedures and we are planning to resume our education programme on 2nd September in line with local schools. 

June 6th - We are now starting Pony Club again. We will have a maximum of 5 people per session and the sessions will be socially distanced and held outside and in the arena / round pen. There will be no entry to the barn. Priority will be given to Pony Club members. The sessions run at 10am to 12:30pm on Saturdays and the home ed session is Tuesday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Our social distancing procedures will apply. Members who cannot attend will still be able to complete their badges through the online Pony Club. More details can be found here.

May 24th - We will be opening for individual sessions and lessons on Wednesday 27th May. We will be opening our booking system on Tuesday 26th May. Please do not book online before this date. We have new procedures in place and we will send full details to everyone who books. 

May 22nd - We are in the process of opening the centre for individual therapeutic sessions, riding lessons and trail rides. We would ask you to contact us directly if you would like to book in rather than using the booking system at this time, and we will be posting more details on this page and our social media page very soon. 

May 12th - The British Horse Society have advised us that specific equestrian guidance will be released by Sport England tomorrow. We will base any decisions to reopen on this guidance and we will update this page and our social media pages with any developments. We will remain closed for now. 

March 28th - Thus is our first weekend when the stables is completely closed, however we are very excited to  be launching our online Pony Club so you can join in the ponytastic fun from anywhere! There will be a live Pony Club session at 11am from the stables through our Friends of Equine Learning Facebook group, which is open to current clients. Please request to join the group for more details. All learning resources and videos will be posted on our new, free to access online learning platform - please see our Pony Club page for details of how to join. 

March 26th - We are now closed for all services except our Riding High Education Programme for young people with EHC plans. We will rearrange any sessions and lessons which have already been booked in. Please do not come to the stables to visit the horses - we are not accepting any visitors at this time. We are currently creating our online Pony Club and other learning resources which we will post details of soon. 

March 19th - We will be staying open at the moment for our educational programme and for individual therapeutic sessions, lessons and trail rides. All group sessions, Pony Club and Inspiring riders sessions are on hold for now. We are taking all bookings through our online booking system. Please use the 'book now' tab to the right of this page to access the booking system. We will also be launching some online activities soon - watch this space!
